Xenogears is a work of brilliance. To me, it rivals Chrono Trigger in terms of scope, writing, characters, and background story, however, unlike Chrono Trigger, Xenogears sort of fell apart at disc 2 and onward. That was due to the development getting cut short. I think their budget ran out or something.
The thing about the Xeno series is, each series may as well be their own IPs, because they each have very little to do with one another, and in the case of the Xenoblade games, they have absolutely nothing to do with Xenogears and Xenosaga. The “Xeno” in the title is only to honor the series creator, Tetsuya Takahashi. In the case of the relation between Xenogears and Xenosaga, it isn’t a sequel or prequel. Xenosaga 1-3 are their own thing, but they draw influence from characters and story elements of Xenogears.
I have played Xenogears and Xenosaga 1+2, but I didn’t beat Xenosaga 2. Its battle system was a chore to get good at. Quite challenging. I should go back to it, so I could finally play the superior Xenosaga 3. I haven’t played Xenoblade either, but I own it.

Atlus will release an 8-bit browser version of Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir if its Twitter campaign can achieve 28,888 tweets. It’s expected to reach that number.

One is off-putting to pronounce, the other sounds like something that has nothing to do with games (I know it’s based on the Latin word ludus, meaning game), so I’m going with neither.

it’s really weird to see new drew doing these things, you can sort of tell that sometimes alexis was going for certain kinds of humour and drew wasn’t having it, and he was a lot more talkative about random stuff, like you could notice especially when alexis’ sister was there that there was an implicit comfort between them and now drew is like… not so personal?

I have this problem where I fund Kickstarter games, then forget about them completely, oblivious to the fact that they’ve released. 
A recent example being The Flame in the Flood.
