Link’s Awakening.
It’s still the Zelda I’m most fond of.
A Link to the Past is one of the most mechanically flawless games ever. There isn’t a single thing about the physics or design that isn’t responsive and logical – nothing to suggest that you’re ever less than 100% in control of everything that happens. Every time you take damage or die (unlikely), it’s your own fault.
And honestly, the intro to that game is everything I love about gaming. There are what, 2-3 lines of dialogue before you’re thrown out into a storm and left to your own devices to discover a way into the castle? Newer Zeldas (and games in general) could still learn a lot from that.
The Verge | Spotify is launching today for Sony’s PS4 and PS3
The wording isn’t clear, but they do mention that having a Premium account isn’t a requirement. If it works with my Unlimited account then it will be perfect for streaming music in the background while playing games.
Edit: Eurogamer’s article was more clear. You can use it with both free and Premium accounts. Woo!
Elite: Dangerous just popped up on Steam. Quite a few non-Steam buyers are ticked.

Now I know how I can use headphones while I’m playing games on my PS3. The RCA connector that comes with the PS3 would get plugged into a 3.5mm stereo male to RCA female adapter, then you’d connect a 3.5mm stereo female to female coupler to the stereo plug. Now you can connect any headphone cord into the coupler, and you can play the sound coming out of your TV from the PS3 sound. I’d imagine this would work for the PS2 as well. Any console that uses an RCA connector.
I picked up a pair of wireless headphones today so I can slay werewolves without giving other people nightmares.
I have one of those. They are fantastic. You can load game specific audio profiles into them and shit, totally star trek levels of wonder.
