At least 31 dead, many injured in Belgium terrorist attacks

At least 31 people have been killed and dozens injured in attacks at Brussels international airport and a city metro station.

Twin blasts hit Zaventem airport at about 07:00 GMT, killing 11 people.

Another explosion struck Maelbeek metro station near the EU’s headquarters an hour later, leaving a further 20 people dead.

The Islamic State (IS) group said it was behind the attacks in a statement issued on the IS-linked Amaq agency.

RIP to the victims.

Terrible news. Islamic extremism in Europe needs to be stamped out. Belgium is the largest exporter of ISIS jihadists in Europe and it was only a matter of time before they got attacked.

This is only the beginning, and I don’t think there is a reasonable solution. Right-wing parties in Europe are becoming more popular with every new terrorist attack that happens, so who knows what the future holds.
