Twitch has oddly been the only site that I go to on a regular basis that requires Flash.

I hate it. It’s so chuggy now.

They’ve been working on an HTML 5 player for a while. For iOS they actually use an hls player.

I think advertising is the only reason they haven’t launched one.

Even though I know it is a hog at times, I still prefer it. Then again part of that is due to being a web developer and the Chrome Dev Tools are the best there is.

If you have plenty of memory then it doesn’t matter if the browser is using a lot of it.

I have 16GB, so in general it isn’t an issue.

I’m currently using ~1 GB for Firefox on a 16 GB system. It really stopped being an issue for me when RAM prices dropped.

I have 16GB.

The issue is it chugs my processor. I don’t know how they let it get this bad.
