Did anyone play anything worthwhile this year? What were your favorites? Is there something that I should pick up from the holiday sales?

Half Life: Alyx for me and it’s not even close. The only thing keeping it off most people’s list is a barrier to entry.
As a PC player, Cyberpunk 2077 is a contender for me personally, but you really can’t ignore gestures vaguely everything. Can’t wait to see the state of the game 6-12 months from now.

I came close to buying Cyberpunk 2077, but decided to pick up a handful of cheaper games instead. Maybe I can play it in three or six months when most of the serious issues have been fixed.

I played nothing new this year but my goty contenders would probably be Tony Hawk or Flight Simulator.
