It’s a short one but it shows a bit of gameplay and it’s nostalgic with the FF theme.
It looks good and pretty, but as mentioned before, I’m not feeling excited about the game. That might change when we’re closer to release and when we have some gameplay impressions.
I remember a friend told me once that FFXIII and FFXV (then Versus XIII) would be the last FF games and that SE would become bankrupt. That was years ago, around FFXIII’s release? That prediction could still become true!
I don’t think SQEX will ever go bankrupt, but it rings true (even Tabata talked about it) that if FF15 doesn’t sell well, then Japanese console RPGs–at least by SQEX’s hands–are largely finished. I don’t believe that’s going to be the case, though. FF15 will sell modestly well.
The trailer didn’t show anything new, did it? I recall seeing that footage on a previous trailer.
I remember we were shown some footage in the same areas but different perspectives. And some are new in this. Unless I missed a trailer from a while ago, because I stopped following this game closely.
I think they are still struggling to live up to the hype they attempted to create with Fabula Nova Crystallis. They didn’t get there and they won’t get there with this game.
The protagonists are so fucking cringe.
I thought I’d get over it with time but it gets worse every time I see them.
I was more impressed by the new FF Type-0 trailer. They went out of their way to make that a significant visual and mechanical improvement over the PSP version.
Is your opinion specific to this game or FF in general? Because I don’t see the characters being any different from what FF characters are usually.
Also, what do you make of Persona 5’s style?

Speaking of the game’s intro. It’s wonderful…it made me so hyped. Every time I watch it. Especially with the song "We have come’’ or something like that.
Yeah, I’ve played about an hour of the PSP game, and that intro was sad. They captured the viciousness of warfare, and to see that in a FF game is refreshing.
