New Langrisser game announced for 3DS

Doesn’t look too good, tbh. Curious to hear more about the cyberpunk elements, however, bikini armor girls? Smh.

Masaya Games’ new game is Langrisser (title tentative) for 3DS, this week’s issue of Weekly Famitsu reveals.

Due out this summer in Japan, the 3DS revival of the tactical RPG series is set in a world mostly sunk underwater. In it, a boy who’s obtained the holy blade Excalibur sets out to fight imperial forces to save a girl from whom he’s been separated.

Though the series has predominantly been based on Western fantasy motifs, this time it features some cyberpunk elements.

Combat consists of 10-versus-10 unit battles, with chibi 3D characters fighting in tight spaces. The rock-paper-scissors dynamic remains in effect between foot soldiers, cavalry, and archers.

Character design is being handled by Hiroshi Kaieda. And the magazine confirms there will, in fact, be bikini armor girls.

Yeah I dont think so

Wow, that female armor is more ridiculous than usual.

I would probably buy it if it was localized, but I don’t care if it isn’t.

#4

Ahahahahahaha what the fuck is that

#5

To be honest, I would love to play a realistic simulator where the characters wore weird armor like that.

#6

Bad bikini armor too…

#7

Oh, I thought the blonde had cat ears. Now I have like, negative interest.

guys the armor isn’t supposed to protect, it’s just for fashion

the stats are what matter

Now I have nothing against armour that’s fashionable in games and just trying to look pretty. Once in a while they can be good as well. I just can’t stand ones like Rozaria (blond) and Tou (black haired) are wearing. Although Tou looks a bit less ridiculous, it’s still bad.

What I find odd though, is how the game seems to mash with styles. I quite like Elma’s (young girl) and Alice (guy) design. It feels like they mixed two games in one.
