Good point. The battery life isn’t fantastic so it should definitely be an optional feature. I do like it when games use the lights to convey subtle messages about health or urgency though.

I have no major qualms about the PS4, but I’ve noticed the battery in the controller doesn’t hold a charge for too long. Other people have complained about that as well.

FF15 is looking good. I can’t wait to get lost exploring the world.
It’s probably because the last few games have been mediocre and that we are now getting news about removed features.
There are plenty of other RPGs to be excited about.
He talks now. MKX looks impressive, and also really, really fucking gruesome in finishing moves. What, with MKX, Street Fighter 5, and Tekken 7, we’re in the midst of yet another fighting game renaissance.
It probably also has to do with it taking too long, a lot of focus went to this game throughout the years. It’s been talked about so often like it’s the next coming of RPG evolution, that I simply don’t care anymore. Too much hyping and teasing can easily have a negative effect on me.
Then again, I’m not excited for FF type 0 HD either. The announcement of FFX/X-2 remaster on the PS4 was too soon, FFVII port is lol are you kidding?
I guess the recent announcements and handling of the IP finally tarnished the brand for me. Or it’s starting to happen. Can’t believe I’m saying this…
Hyping games years in advance is a sure way to set up your fans for disappointment. It is always difficult to live up to ambitious visions from creators that are disconnected from the actual development process.
Are you still active on GAF? Durante posted a thread with most of the big RPGs that will be released this year.
Spotify coming to PS3 and PS4; Music Unlimited shutting down.
We know how important music is to our community of gamers, and this partnership combines the best in music with the best in gaming. PlayStation Network users will enjoy the convenience of linking your accounts to Spotify, making it easy to sign-up with your existing ID and subscribe to Spotify’s Premium service. You can also use Spotify while playing games on PS4, enabling you to soundtrack your gaming sessions with your favorite songs in the background. Want something heavy and rocking for an intense Destiny Raid? How about some old school hip hop while taking the field in Madden NFL? With more than 30 million songs and 1.5 billion playlists, Spotify on PlayStation Music has it covered. As we get closer to launch we look forward to telling you about some of the other great features that will be available exclusively through Spotify on PlayStation Music.
The new service will launch initially on PS4 and PS3, as well as Xperia smartphones and tablets. You’ll of course be able to listen to your favorite playlists – including existing playlists from current Spotify users as well as Spotify curated playlists – and enjoy the service on all of Spotify’s supported devices.
Prior to the launch of Spotify on PlayStation Music, the Music Unlimited service will close in all 19 countries on March 29, 2015. Nearly all of these countries will be among the 41 markets where PlayStation Music featuring Spotify will be available at launch, including the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Brazil. From February 28, 2015, Music Unlimited users with active subscriptions will receive free access to Music Unlimited through March 29, 2015.
Stay tuned to PlayStation.Blog for more details on PlayStation Music featuring Spotify, and in the meantime you can sign up for updates here.
Nice! I’ve wanted a Spotify client for my consoles for a long time. It’s a shame that it will require a Premium subscription. At the moment I only pay for the cheaper alternative (€5/month).
I’ve been less active in GAF but still lurking sometimes and leave some rare comments here and there. That thread seems to be still work in progress? As many games are not included in the list unless they’re officially announced for the west. The rest seems a lot of PC stuff, I’m not active with PC gaming as you know.
Regarding spotify, I read somewhere that the free account works too.
I have the in-between subscription model where I can listen to music, without ads, from desktop computers but not mobile devices.
