That trend will continue for as long as there are cross-generation releases. The mainstream Japanese audience will jump in once there are popular PS4 exclusives. Games like Bloodborne and Final Fantasy XV should attract new users.

If you include the re-releases then Demon’s Souls sold 237k and Dark Souls sold 415k. Dark Souls 2 sold in the same range.
