Sequel to Blade Runner to be directed by Enemy and Prisoners director.

Denis Villeneuve, who directed Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal in kidnap drama Prisoners, is in talks to direct.

The story takes place several decades after the conclusion of the 1982 film.

I am not fond of Ford returning, but it is interesting they are considering a female lead for the movie. The director also has done some good stuff. Enemy and Prisoners were both fun.

I hope it is more of a cameo than a full role. Ford is old and has mush mouth. He is not very entertaining to watch anymore.

Hopefully it is less a sequel and more of a new story with new characters in the same world.

I commend him for being able to continue appearing in movies, but he’s getting up there in age. These aren’t drama movies either. An action movie can be taxing on an elderly actor. For example, Ford broke his leg on the set of Star Wars Ep VII.

I still haven’t watched Blade Runner.
